Math Problem Solving Competition 2024-25
Our flagship math problem solving competition has taken place annually since 2017 and is open to middle school students (grades 6 - 8) at selected schools in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. 1,300+ students from 18 schools are registered to participate during the 2023-2024 school year.
Students participate in three (3) contests during the year, and each contest has 11-12 word problems. Contests are completed in school and have a 35 minute time limit. Students with the highest total scores on all 3 contests win cash prizes, trophies and certificates of recognition.
The top 30 finishers in each grade win cash prizes totaling ~$10,000!
Contest Dates*:
Contest #1 - December 2, 2024
Contest #2 - February 17, 2025
Contest #3 - April 14, 2025
(*Contests can be completed any day during these weeks.)
Near the beginning of each week, we put out a set of practice problems to help students work on their problem solving skills. We post solutions at the end of each week so students can check their answers.
