History
The TriCore Foundation started in 2017 with an idea to sponsor an essay contest at two Dallas-area elementary schools, offering $350 1st place prizes. Since then, we have sponsored contests in a variety of subject areas including poetry, art, math problem solving, trivia, persuasive essay, and short story, and we have awarded just over $100,000 in prize money.
Over 3,000 students from 15 schools have participated in our contests and sponsored programs since 2017.
Today, we run our flagship math problem solving competition for students in grades 6 - 8. We also work with Dallas-area public and private school teachers and schools to create, promote and sponsor inter- and intra-school contests and programs. (See the “Contests and Programs” page for details.)
